"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!

18. Wow. What can you do when you're 18, apart from vote, buy alcohol legally and all that? Not that I am. I feel old. I hope its not much of a difference than being 17. I liked being 17, because I was just hanging there in the middle, neither 16 nor 18. I like being in the middle. Its a comfortable place. Maybe I'm making it more of an issue than it needs to be; 'Oh gee, she's getting so worked up just because she's 18!' Is being 18 really that much of a jump? But at least I'm officially an adult! It's a good excuse to use...at certain times. Oh yay, I can't wait for what adulthood has in store for me. I really can't. (sarcasm)
Can't wait to watch New Moon tomorrow. Again. Maybe this time round there won't be as many elderly people. It's just weird. I thought Twilight was a teen/young adult and 'Twilight Mom's' thing. Did I miss anything?
